Extremely low loss for a selected wavelength

Laser Windows may be anti-reflection coated to reduce the losses due to reflection from the surface. If only one side is coated the small(~ 4%)reflection from the other face can be used to sample the beam for diagnostic purposes. If used as a window it is best to coat both faces for minimum loss. Coatings can be applied for all laser wavelengths, for normal or 45° incidence and for any state of polarization. Standard visible wavelengths are listed below.
