The reasons for ripening the hollows of tomatoes are complex and can be grouped into three categories:

First, sudden changes in growth conditions, such as low temperatures encountered during fruit enlargement, impaired root nutrient moisture absorption, or excessive nitrogen deficiency and lack of potassium; in addition the tomato requires a suitable temperature of 25 °C during the day, 15 °C at night, if less than 5 °C or Above 30°C, especially at night, it may cause abnormal fruit development.

The second is that the concentration of growth regulators is too high.

The third is poor pollination or picking up too early. In response to these conditions, the main methods for preventing the hollow shape of tomato fruit are: balanced fertilization and appropriate irrigation, improved light and temperature conditions within the shed, reasonable pollination and timely picking of the heart, and strict control of the concentration of hormones and other growth regulators. All these are done well, and high quality and high yields are guaranteed.
