Deviating prisms are used to cause a deflection in an incoming beam. These deviating prisms are
manufactured from UV transmitting Fused Silica
Three types are offered. Dove prisms create an image inversion in a beam input parallel to the base. Corner cubes create a constant deviation of 180°independent of input angle and are often used for alignment purposes. Porro prisms are cut down versions of a right angle prism and produce a uni-axial beam deviation of 180°.
